Living in Lithuania 14 bat species, classified lygianosinių (Vespertilionidae) Family. Fifteenth bat species - bat ūsuotasis (Myotis mystacinus) - The country recorded only once. The Treble residues detected Birzai area, Cow's cave karstinėje subsidence. Two more species are searchable - a big bat (Myotis myotis) quick-eared and gray (Plecotus austriacus). These types of bats were found in neighboring countries, near the border with Lithuania. Therefore, there is a good chance, that they can live in our country.

Insects can catch and wings, and tail as a sieve. Some species of bats are easily recognizable, however, some other, especially smaller species, on color and morphological variation is hard to describe.
